ZEIS ICON SLIDE & EFFECTS PROJECTOR

Title

ZEIS ICON SLIDE & EFFECTS PROJECTOR

Description

One of two such projectors made for and installed in TV studios date not known but thought to be in the 1950's though the fitted xenon lamp dates it. This projector is used for effects and special effects to produce background or cyclorama images projected behind a news reader or presenter etc. It has various glass filters and patterned art work. When fully operational it could flood the studio with wonderful images and lighting designs. With the 'kit' comes three boxes of 8.3mm x 8.3mm photographic glass slides providing a multitude of images ranging from forests to animals, trains to waterfalls. This wonderful projector was made redundant however by computer generated images.
