CINCHRO SILENT PROJECTOR

Title

CINCHRO SILENT PROJECTOR

Description

The origin of this projector is unknown. It is thought to date from around 1916 and could have been produced as a Bioscope projector. It is a hand turned projector with a front shutter and has 1000ft. spool boxes complete with fire-traps. It is also engineered for adding a motor. It comes from the era when films were getting longer than just one part and this is why it has motor drive engineered in the construction and not 'added'. Whether it was used for a Bioscope is obscure but does also suggest that it might have been manufactured for 'home' use similar to Butchers 'Empire'.
